TURNAROUND MANAGEMENT When an organisation experiences a constant decline over a period of time, a different skill set of management comes into play. No longer required to keep things going in normal circumstances, managers and CEOs need to take unprecedented, bold and innovative steps to arrest the decline. In other words, turnaround management skills take precedence. One question is what if a group of individuals to whom your choice is limited have established a pattern of organisational behaviour that is inconsistent with what they are required to do ? Should they be given a chance or should they be replaced ? And if not, why are they retained when their performance is well known and tested many times ?
