TV and Radio News at 4pm The Simpsons has remembered Edna Krabappel actress Marcia Wallace in a new episode that saw Bart write ‘We’ll really miss you Mrs. K’. Wallace died at the age of 70 last month due to complication from pneumonia. Bart is given lines by his teacher during the opening titles of each episode, usually writing about an amusing misdemeanour. He looked dejected as he wrote this touching message however, which aired at the start of a new episode of the long-running cartoon on Sunday night. The 1992 Emmy award-winning episode Bart the Lover was also shown, a critically-acclaimed episode that feature Krabappel heavily. ==== The winners for the annual BBC local radio awards ‘The Gillards” have been announced in Windsor, with BBC Radio Humberside winning Station of the Year. The win for Humberside comes just months after winning Station of the Year at the Sony Radio Academy Awards. Noticeable winners include BBC Radio Oxford, taking home three Gold awards, for Sport, Coverage of a News Story and Station Promotion Campaign. The awards were given out by Lord Patten, along with broadcasters Anne Diamond and Tony Blackburn. The event was held in Windsor as BBC Radio Berkshire won the main award last year. ==== Rachel Riley says shes leaving on a high, after getting the axe from Strictly Come Dancing last night. The Countdown star was unanimously voted off by the judges after a dance-off with Abbey Clancy. Strictly drew its biggest audience of the series so far on Saturday, with an average of 10 million tuning in. ==== Gary Barlow was left complaining that the British public got it wrong in voting Kingsland Road off the X Factor. The boyband was in the bottom two with Tamera Foster last night - shes one of the favourites to win. The five say theyll carry on performing together. ====
