TV goes into macho men mode with Pukaar, Maharakshak Aryan. Move over saas bahu serials and love stories that finally graduate into saas bahu serials, the men are back on television and in a macho avatar. While some of these men will be seen on weekends, others are coming on weekdays to break the clutter of the usual fare dished out on television. Heres a lowdown on all about them. Mahakumbh Last seen as Saraswatichandra, Gautam Rode is set to return to television in a macho avatar as Rudra in what is touted to be the most expensive show on TV. Rodes Maha Kumbh is going to be a finite show and will replace the hugely successful Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. Gautams pumped up and chiselled macho look in the show, complete with a huge tattoo onhis back, is quite different from what audiences have seen so far. Maharakshak Aryan A regular boy turned superhero is what Maharakshak Aryan is all about. The show traces the story of a simple college student Aryan who is blessed with superpowers that he is unaware about till he turns 18. From there on Aryan turns into a Maharakshak or a super saviour and defends one and all against all evil. Aakarshan Singh plays the lead role of Aryan. He is the superhero sans the customary cape, costume and super-sized biceps. Pukaar Pukaar is being called Indian televisions first action hero serial wherein Rannvijay Singh of Roadies fame plays a commando and an action hero. The show is also Raj Babbars debut vehicle into television as he plays Rannvijays father in it. Adah Sharma plays Rannvijays love interest. This show brought forth by Vipul Shah is being showcased on weekdays as it aims to break into the daily serial clutter. Private Investigator Upcoming show Private Investigator (P.I) is a crime detective weekend TV series with Mrinal Dutt playing the lead character of Raffe Roy Choudhary. Raffe is blessed with special powers such as those of thinking at lightning speed and making guesses that never go wrong. Raffes quick wit and intelligence makes him an irreplaceable ally for the shows police inspector Vrajesh Hirjee.
