TWA Flight 800 finally makes it back to the headlines. TWA was likely shot down by accident just past the location of Wallops Island near Long Island. A ship was down there (the USS Normandy) coincidentally taking part in an anti-missle shot to test a new form of the Standard Missile. The Standard was modified to shoot down another missile. The Knox was a support ship nearby. When the FBI turned over the records of the Normandy and the Knox they indicated that both ships were 181 miles away (supposedly out of range of the Standard Missile). They also provided coordinates. The coordinates, available on the Internet today, show those ships located off of Wallops Island right under Flight 800. It was an accident, I believe, but it was a Navy one and they ought to own it. Salinger tried his best to get the story out but coverups in this country succeed because the mass media is involved. This new movie and story about 800 will likely die a quick death too.
