TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Maceys 1st) MISS MACEY is still just a puppy at 8ish months old.....She probably knew love in the beginning, but somewhere things went terribly wrong.... She was sitting in The OKEMAH Shelter (Photos included) in the Hot, August 6th temps. & no one was coming for her.....There were many pleas to Get Her Out! She was eaten up with Mange, skin & bones and we figured her owners certainly didnt want her.....I couldnt even tell what kind of dog she was!! We knew, most citizens would not Adopt her on their own, because of the serious of her condition, that would lead to expense..... Many things go through our minds when were looking at a dog behind the bars....Do we have a place for her? How sick is she? What will treatment cost? Do we have an extra $450 if she should have/get Parvo? Heartworm disease; another $450 to treat??? Can we afford to do this and still take care of all the others????? Etc..... Someone stepped up to foster (Thank You Cindy!).....AND Thanks to the kindness of our donors (YOU saved her, by the way!!), we were able & DID get her out.... Her medical needs were addressed and treatments began...... MISS MACEY will be spending her very 1st Christmas in a home of her own and is she ever a BEAUTY!!!! Im talking, BEAUTIFUL and oh so sweet & loving!!! This family adores her and thats exactly what we wanted!!! Blessings to our MISS MACEY & her new family........Her dreams have come true!!!
