TWOTD. Wednesday. July 30, 2014. AWKWARD. Every morning at 0545 I go up to the gym at the KSU Rec Complex. The same student-worker is “patrolling” the gym and there are very few others present. I see him every day and he usually politely instructs me to put a lid on my water or use a clamp on the weight bar. He’s so nice, and he takes his job so seriously, (gotta respect that) I finally decided I should break the ice so that we could have a conversation once in a while. So, this morning, I nonchalantly remarked, “So, you’re the “Weight Room Nazi, huh?” He reacted by turning to me, looking at me and saying, “I’m Jewish.” Well, I was a little surprised, and not even sure if he was serious. So I said, “You know you’re in Kansas don’t you?” He turned around and walked off. Just a little AWKWARD. Sometimes good intentions don’t work out so well. Enjoy your day. TWOTD.
