TYSON - THEN AND NOW Tyson was a stray who was luckily found by a caring soul! The person who found him took him to the vet. Tyson was in rough shape. He had a double ear infection, and an injury to his neck that looked to be a result of having been chained or tied out. After getting him medical care, and trying to find his owner, we were contacted - as the person who found him could not keep him - and we took him into our rescue. Shortly after he became an FFFR pup, we discovered that Tyson was deaf. According to our vet, the deafness is irreversible and he had probably been deaf since birth. Our President - also a trainer - spent some time working with Tyson, training him with hand signals. Tyson was a quick learner - especially when high value treats were involved - as this video shows: youtu.be/G_Yo4VSgZq4 It took some time, but about a month ago Tyson found his forever family - and boy, did he ever strike gold!
