Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course Friday 13 June 2014 & Saturday 14 June 2014 0800-1700 hours The ONLY standard of care dually endorsed by the American College of Surgeons and the National Association of EMTs for Casualty Management in Tactical Environments The TCCC Course is the military counterpart to the PHTLS course. It is designed for LEO’s, EMT’s, Medic’s and Fire Medic’s who are preparing to deploy in support of tactical operations. The specifics of casualty care in the tactical setting will depend on the tactical situation, the injuries sustained by the casualty, the knowledge and skills of the first responder, and the medical equipment at hand. In contrast to a hospital Emergency Department where the patient IS the mission, on the battlefield and in hostile civilian environments, care of casualties sustained is only PART of the mission. During all phases of care, the principal mandate of TCCC is the critical execution of the right intervention at the right time. Casualty care in tactical operations must be the best possible combination of good medicine and good small-unit tactics. TCCC recognizes this fact and structures its guidelines to accomplish three primary goals: TREAT THE CASUALTY - PREVENT ADDITIONAL CASUALTIES - COMPLETE THE MISSION The intended target audience includes military personnel, tactical and covert operations specialists, law enforcement and public safety officials and officers, first responders, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and medical and allied health professionals LOCATION: Yale New Haven Sponsor Hospital Program 77 D Willow Street New Haven, Connecticut 06511 COST: $400.00 (cost covers provider course, administrative fees, student manual, take home gift) CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED: Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover CHECKS: made payable to YNHSHP TO REGISTER: please go to our website sponsorhospital.org and click on Training Center ANY QUESTIONS: Please contact Mike Torino at [email protected] “ Ad Medicor Proeliator”
