A patron takes up the needs of others to plead their cause. Ultimately, our one patron is Christ and none other, but we also have a universe of patrons, the communion of saints. It is a network that binds Christianity with cords of love. We depend upon the motherly care of God and Mary, who clearly knows how to raise a child to be full of love.
