Take It By Force! Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. God said that there hath no temptation, test, trial or set of circumstances taken you but that which is common to man. He will make a way of escape. Just bear it until He does. Hold on – He’s right there with you. Don’t get weary. Hold to His unchanging hand and build your hopes on things eternal. Jesus talks of the kingdom of Heaven in Matthew 11:12 and how it suffers violence and the violent take it by force. It’s time for “movers and shakers” to come forth for Jesus. When Christ was bruised and wounded on the cross, the kingdom of Heaven suffered violence. (Isaiah 53:1-7). It suffered when men persecuted the apostles for righteousness’ sake. It suffered when the prophets cried loud and didn’t spare their fellow men. They continued to convey God’s wrath and subsequent judgment. It’s our turn to be mistreated messengers of God’s oracles. It’s our turn to lift up our voices like trumpets and expose those who don’t call for justice. There’s not enough judgment regarding the doings of people nowadays and God wants us to “take the kingdom of God to men” and share it with guts, gumption and grace. When we “take it by force” as the Spirit of God leads us, some backsliders will arise and repent. When we defend “the kingdom of heaven” God will lift His right Arm of salvation and embrace the penitents. So let’s set our faces like flint – not withholding any God-given message. The “violent” – the ardent obedient servants of the most high God - must not hold their peace for fear of sore affliction. The Word is our sword that we’re charged to use so that their needs and hopes will be addressed. It will pierce the hearers’ hearts and convince them that the kingdom of Heaven is nigh them.
