Take a good look at this photograph. The keen eyed will observe the bus shelter and in the background the shelter on Treorchy railway station. They share a common characteristic; both are useless as shelters. You see both are open to the South West - the direction from which 90% of precipitation falling on Treorchy originates. I stood in the bus shelter last night getting saturated. In order to protect oneself from the rain its necessary to walk into the grounds of the flats shown and hide behind the shelter. By the way I thought placing the shelter this way might have been a particularly obtuse error but believe it or not another shelter has been erected outside Treorchy Park with the open side also facing the South West. I think someones taking the piss.
