Take all the money that has ever been printed and buy every person on earth a meal if you want, but in a few hours, they will be hungry again. Only Jesus can be the Bread of Life and the Fountain of Living Water that never runs dry. We need to help the hungry, the hopeless and the homeless. I believe that we need to give a cup of cold water in His name and when we do, it is as if the Lord Himself gave it. But we are the Church of Jesus Christ and we do not preach a social gospel. We preach a saving gospel. Social gospel takes care of that which is only temporary. Saving gospel takes care of that which is eternal.
