The proactive acts of the army are preserving some kind of status quo of control [by] the Israeli army [of] the Palestinians... It doesnt matter what people are talking [about] in different rooms when [they] talk about the peace process. On the ground - and this is what the book (Our Harsh Logic) shows very clearly - the army acts as if it is there to stay... How can you make peace with someone you are still controlling?
