Take the time to watch this video. As youll see, the driver that recorded this video, maintained his speed throughout the run, while others passed him by. Along with that, for the majority of the run, he remained in the lane that was the clearest. Lane changes were nice and steady, with no sudden movements. Driving a truck is difficult enough during good summer weather, as you have to account for drivers who are not paying attention, then. But when you get into winter driving, it takes on a totally different aspect, and risk. The trucks that ended up in the ditch or the median?? Well, simply put, they were driving as if they were on dry roads, and instead of putting safety at the forefront, they Hauled butt to try to make deadlines, or get ahead of the game. There is No substituting safety, for time and personal gain. Slow down, and drive safe, always. Even on roads that Appear to be dry, there is the strong possibility that there is still ice (commonly called black ice) on the roadway, only, you cant tell the difference.
