Takeaway: Consumption of organic foods may reduce exposure to pesticide residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, however it does not appear that organic foods are considerably more nutritious than conventional foods. While I sometimes reach for produce on the Organic shelves, Im not a food Nazi about rejecting the same food on other shelves. I do want to see my food products labeled if they are GMO modified. Some foods I dont need labeling; like tomatoes which are now filler for salads. I am struck by the loss of flavor and increase in pulp by varieties that were my go-to choices 40 years ago (Beefsteak, Im looking at you).
