Taken at f8 and focused on trees at far side of pond to yield a DOF of infinity. That way I did not get diffraction that would yield negatively on sharpness. Found min Aperture for the D800 is f8 or f9 before diffraction starts to occur. Hyperfocal distance of the 14-24f2.8 set at 15MM and f8 is 3.13 feet Sunrise on Katahdin at Sunday Pond. Taken with Nikon D800, Nikon 14-24f2.8 @ 15MM F8 1/6 ISO100. Gitzo 3541XLS with Wimberley II and RRS adapter plate (found that the Wimberley Gimball for my long lenses works well with landscape using adapter plate versus a ball head--thank you Mark Picard-for this and many other teachings)
