Taken out of context. Not a big Cheney fan, him or her. Look, EVERYONE got WMDs wrongand only the arms merchants prevailed. Loyal citizen-soldiers paid the price. Makes one question the mission and continued enlistment. Wars of containment dont seem to work. Destruction of cities as in WWII DID work. Would hate to see Damascus leveled but Bible stories point to towns destroyed where losers proclaimed Your God is more powerful than my gods. Maybe a little Dresden is in order. Would the Russians be willing to take us on in light of what theyve decided one in Crimea/Ukraine? Might give Sunnis and Shiites pause for thought. Lebanon & Jordan & Egypt would look like TX/AZ with all the refugees. Iran would maybe play ball. A terrible notion, much collateral damage but what else is available? This is like the Cuban Missile Crisis. Tell people to flee, carpet bomb, parachute in bottled water and MREs? That is how cynical I have become? Win wars or stay out.
