Taking a closer look at #KrisMicallef and his photographic exhibition - #REGNVM which is taking place in the foyer, lounge and breakfast area of CASA ELLUL. Ever since this Maltese architect and self taught photographer hung up his work at the atmosphere in the hotel entrance and lobby has never been the same! The amount of tourists that flock by the main door to take a closer look at this jam dropping work is incredible. Kris excels in both fine art photography as well as commercial photography having a particular interest in the world of fashion. REGNVM is an imaginary underwater kingdom and its inhabitants. The project consists of a series of underwater portraits photographed over a span of two summers in various bays around the Maltese Islands. The photographs have also been published in a limited edition book in which the photographs have be woven together with the narrative thread of a story that tells of power, struggle, beauty and love around the inhabitants of the kingdom.
