Taking a page from the 3rd grade GLAD share group, 2nd grade will be starting their own 2nd grade GLAD share group on Thursday, August 28th from 3:30 - 5:30 at Discovery School. Hopefully this date will work for most folks and not interfere with Back to School nights. The purpose of the meeting is to share any resources, ideas, and or GLAD strategies that worked and or have been developed for Unit 1. The ideas dont necessarily have to be of the GLAD nature. The first hour will be set aside for sharing ideas and the last hour is for make and take of GLAD posters....etc. We ask that you bring your own markers. White butcher paper will be supplied for your use. If you would like to bring a snack to share, that would be great also!!! You would be donating your time and ideas.....not a paid staff development. :( If you would like to attend, please contact Linda Rodrigo or Kris Puls on Groupwise to let us know how many to plan for or comment here. Please share this info with any second grade teachers you know around the district who have not signed up on Facebook. Teachers do not have to have had the GLAD training to attend. Any and all second grade teachers are welcome! :) Coaches too!!! Dont feel like you have to bring something to share........just come and get great ideas!! BTW - Linda Rodrigo is Discoverys coach!!!! YEAH!!!
