Taking a short break from the last season of Flashpoint which has recently become available on @Netflix. It has been intense. More intense than I was prepared for. All along, I have been an avid fan of Ed and Parker, but, in this last season, I find that my favorite character is Spike. Ive always liked Spike, but until this season, I didnt realize we had so much in common. Yes, I know he is a character in a show and yes, I realize that that character is the product of someones imagination. Im not completely gone, only partially. Ive cried plenty over it but, and only some folks will understand this ... these people are my friends. Most people who followed this show likely saw it when it was aired. I stopped watching TV altogether quite some time ago and recently went so far as to cancel my cable except for the channels my nieces watch when the come to visit (Disney and Sprout). I missed much, but in missing it, I dont really miss it. There is way too much extrapolation on bad stuff that should, as far as Im concerned, remain private and not be blabbed for days and days. But that is one persons opinion and with that and a token, you can ride the subway. Doing a four-count breathing exercise to keep my heart rate between 50-60 (thank you hiking mountain trails for this trick) and planning on finishing the last episodes tonight. Thanks to a friend, I know some details that were pertinent to my sanity. Connect. Respect. Protect. Good advice for the everyday adventure whether you are a superhero or not.
