Taking place on the 22 – 25 July, Moor Park Golf Club CEO David Cook welcomes golf fans to come and support the up and coming players at the Carris Trophy. “Moor Park is very proud to be hosting such an amazing tournament and we encourage everyone to come and support these boys as they are honing their skills in what will prove to be a great 4 days of golf. I have no doubt that some of our veteran golfers will learn a few pointers from these talented young golfers who are our future champions.” Originally Moor Parks ‘Junior Open,’ the Carris Trophy showcases the stars of the future. The tournament is an open event, with players from all over the world competing for the prestigious title that sets them on the road to golf royalty like Justin Rose who won the Carris Trophy in 1995 and is now US Open Champion. The standard of golf is exceptional, with all competitors sitting in the 1 (and under) handicap bracket. It is the highlight of the English Boys U18 Amateur Championships and this July (22-25) it returns to its “Home” of Moor Park Golf Club in leafy Hertfordshire.
