Taking the time to reflect on what was a great run in the ESPN - TopicsExpress

Taking the time to reflect on what was a great run in the ESPN wide world of sports World Tournament, I realized a few things. First, our Scared Hitless ladies are such class acts. You know you are doing something right when umpires are asking for our headbands, teams are asking to trade uniforms with us and other teams stick around just to watch us play and then tell us how they how much they respect our team. Placing 17th out of 96 teams isnt too shabby. Our positive attitudes and teamwork is the reason we are who we are and why we did as well as we did. Battling all the way back from losing our first game wasnt an easy feat. We could have easily folded but it never crossed our minds. Thank you, each and every girl on this team for being who you are and completing our team puzzle. This team/family holds a special place in my heart. Sarah Orozco and Shawn Ebert I am giving you a special shout out because without you two we would not of been where we were. Organization is key on so many levels and Sarah you made sure all us ladies knew our roles and had a purpose. It was definitely the hardest task around, both playing and coaching and I thank you for it. You are our brains. Shawn, your calm persona and knowledge of the game is phenomenal. You took the time to get to know each and every one of us and what makes us tick as a player. Thank you! And I cant leave out all the other Arizona players and teams that helped us become who we are coaching, pitching to us, giving us both words of wisdom and support and being our competition in preparation for worlds. (Nick, MAJ, Sumuzu, Pande, TC, BCB for sharing Liz, our significant others to name a few) Thank you Far West Utrip, Gio Zuviate, Ralph Nolet for giving us a place to play locally! From the bottom of our hearts. Thank you!
