Talcher,Dec 01(MANAS RANJAN MISHRA): Talcher MLA Braja Kishore Pradhan arrested on charges of ransacking and setting ablaze more than 40 vehicles at Jaganath Railway siding in Talcher,has been out on bail.The MLA was released on bail by Talcher Additional District Judge court, Talcher.Angul police had picked up Pradhan minutes after he came out of the Assembly, which was in session. Before his arrest, the MLA had pointed accusing fingers at the police and some ruling party politicians, insinuating that they were behind the incident though he did not name them. Violence had erupted after casual workers in Talcher coalfield area protested against the retrenchment of some of their colleagues. The casual workers were the MLA’s supporters.The retrenchment had taken place place after the job of unloading and transportation of coal was assigned to a new contractor, who employed his own men. This sparked off tension, leading to the clash. Meanwhile,a team of Congress members from Bhubaneswar had met him in Talcher jail today and inquired about his health condition.With this MLAs fast unto-death also ended,his supporters said.
