Alejandro Amenábar has created magic with Mar Adentro, the movie subtly strikes every chord of your heart and amazing performance by Javier Bardem just keeps you glued to the screen till the very last moment. Mar Adentro or The Sea Inside is a heart wrenching story of a tetraplegic Ramon Sampedro who has spend his life on a bed by the window for past 26 years. Ramon, once a sailor, puts up the demand for euthanasia and what follows is a series of events that gets him closer to Rosa, the radio jockey with whose help Ramon puts an end to his life which he describes as the life with no dignity. Javier Bardem has given the whole movie a poetic flow, hence, it proceeds effortlessly and is really soothing in contrast to the slightly remorseful story.
