Tale by William Peter. A Darken Fairy O’Brien Reviewed by ACR This story is captivating. As a grandparent with younger grandchildren, I will be reading this one to them over and over for a very long time. William O’Brien has crafted a marvelous story filled with likeable yet scary characters that pursue and harass young Peter as he journey’s through a magical land based on his imagination. This is a story that is truly enchanting but with a subtle dark edge to it, which is reminiscent of the Brothers Grim or Tolkien. William O’Brien’s style of writing is descriptive yet smooth and fast moving. He provides the reader with an experience they will not soon forget. This is a terrific read for the younger reader and a great grandparent read along with the kid’s book. I can see “Peter. A Darkened Fairy Tale” captivating young readers for generations to come. “When you write a story you get to create everything. You are God, but please be a benevolent God.”~ Author Cliff Roberts
