Talent and skill are two different things people use interchangeably. Talent according to Oxford Advance Learning dictionary is the natural endowment that is processed by an individual that is discovered while Skill is the ability of a person to carry out a task,it can be trained or learned.Skill is very important at least a person must learn one skill but how will it look like if a person discover it talent and skill on it?.Someone that is learning a skill will take time in learning it while someone that is talented in a skill will only develop it.there is different between someone that is learning and someone that is only developing it. Let us use the developed countries as a case study. Are they using their skills or only developing their talents. How many of them are educated but they are doing great things that even our professor here cant do all because they discover themselves and channels their resources towards them. My Advice to us is to discover our talent and develop it.it is not everybody that will become a successful Demographer,Doctor,Engineer,Accountant,Economist,Nurse,Lawyer,pastor,Alfa to mention few. The most important thing is to be useful in any area we find ourselves and assist in the productivity output of our great nation Nigeria.
