Tales from the South is coming to the Faulkner County Library on April 5. “Tales From the South, a radio program featuring southern writers reading their own true stories, will be taped live at the Conway Library on Saturday, April 5. The program begins at 7:00 and is free and open to the public. The show will be preceded by a fish fry dinner, beginning at 5:30 and ending at 6:30, limited to 100 participants. Advance reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased online ($10.00 each) through this web page: Local musician Jeff Clanton will perform during dinner and Tales from the South’s house musician Mark Simpson, will provide live music during the taping. Local artist Sheila Parsons will also be showcased at the event. “Tales from the South” also airs worldwide via streaming audio at kuar.org. The show rebroadcasts at 9am CT Sundays (UTC 5) on World Radio Network (wrn.org) on the WRN English Europe channel. In Europe Tales airs on satellite radio and cable TV at 15:00 UTC on Sundays. The show is also distributed by PRX and is heard on multiple Public Radio stations across the country.
