Talibani :- Beginning of the END It is only yesterday that I had a rather heated discussion on Islamic terrorism,in one of my sessions with Chanakya Mandal students. And today you have this Talibani attack on army public school in Peshawar, killing over 132 & injuring over 200 kids. Inhuman. Brutal. Cruel. All words are insufficient to describe this. No dictionary in any language, any religion has a word to describe this monstrosity. Peshawar ( Sanskrit name Purushpur, originally ) by the way,was the capital of powerful & compassionate Buddhist empire of Kanishka in the 1st century AD. Its an open secrete that Pakistan govt.,Army & ISI have Taliban sympathisers. Pakistan has actually nurtured Taliban to maintain its footprint in Afghanistan & to use it as a force against India. In short Pakistan nurtured this Frankenstein which is now devouring Pakistan itself. Todays heinous killing of kids is going to shock & wake up the conscience of Pakistani people.( in addition to the world at large ) this will turn out to be the beginning of the end for Taliban. LTTE actually had Indian sympathies, until LTTE committed this fatal mistake of assassinating Rajiv Gandhi. That act turned out to be beginning of the end of LTTE. Chechen terrorists also had held kids hostage in Beslan. They had stripped the kids naked & then tied bombs to their bodies. After this nobody is going to stand by the Chechen cause, when the Russian govt.unleashes brutal response. Beslan brutality can be said to be the beginning of end for Chechen terrorism & Chechen cause in general. Similarly, this one,for Taliban. This came across most painfully in the heartrending anguish of a father who lost his kid to Taliban terror today. He cried Ab bas karo yaar. Enough is enough. I am kind of hoping & praying that this turns out to be the cry of the whole Pakistani nation & Pakistani people. And then I am reminded of frenzied Pakistai players showing a middle finger to Indians after winning a tough hockey match against India by 4-3. And then Hafiz Saed, then 26/11.... So pray for Pakistan,I shall,as I am happily reconciled to being Bharatiya. Pray I shall. But cautiously. Indian nation needs to stay alert, united & strong.
