Talk about between a rock and a hard place. Special needs (sweet) guy who lives across the street is OBSESSED with running his gas-powered leaf blower. It sounds like a 747 taking off. And its damn-near constant. AND: Molly is OBSESSED with bad tween-ish pop tunes on YouTube. Theyre fighting for my ear space right now, and Im trippin ballz trying to make Everything-Okay-in-My-Life while all this is going on. Zeke is on the couch, oblivious to my physiological agony, watching Nova with big, fat earphones on. Bonus: Mollys tiny, nasal-y little voice trying to get the YouTubes search voice-recognition to understand her repeating, this girl is on FIRE. This girl is on FIRE. This GIRL is . . . ON . . . FIRE. Ah, now were onto Sia Chandelier. One I like. I feel the bronchial tubes loosen in my lungs, and a capillary that popped and drained warmly in my brain is the only noticeable loss, though the underside of one of my eyes is doing that involuntary high-speed (potassium-related?) flutter.
