Talk about timing. I flew red eye into NY, got to White Plains at 11am and at noon, my mom had her once-a-month lunch date with the cool older Jewish ladies, so I got to crash that party. I was really impressed with the level of the conversation; there was talk about racism, the Donald Sterling fiasco, lifetime learning, lots of humor, good natured kibitzing (theres a word I dont use in Eugene), and of course the food was awesome. Why does it always feel like Im in a Woody Allen movie when Im here? Big party on Sunday, my brother Bill is coming in from Milwaukee, Aunt June coming in from New Jersey, Nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers, this is quite a collection… I wish my son could be here, but hes finishing up his undergrad degree. Wow!
