Talked to a lot of you last week regarding Legislation pending to fix Michigan roads and the potential impact on schools. Ive reserved many of my own public opinions on this issue because until something comes up for vote its simply a proposal; a lot of peoples opinions 😁 That said, what has come out of the Michigan House I personally could not support and I dont seem alone in that opinion as the Governor has expressed many of my own concerns. Funding Michigan schools on assumptive forecasts based on revenues historically not realized is a terrible mistake. But, its an opinion; a proposal to date, not a Bill up for vote so theres little to get all hot & bothered about right now. The Michigan Senate & of course The Governor all get opinions on this road funding package and then well all have something to support or oppose. Its my hope that we get this one right Republicans.
