Talked to a special friend that let me know that my FB Timeline is actually available, now. Again... shocker revelations here and there. Not about me, but people I am surrounded by. Then my friend and I had a conversation on what to keep private and what not. I brought up the Bachelor. He wants to say crude things to women in private to test whether they will blow the whistle on him, or fall under his spell. I understand a difference between privacy and situations where certain people are oppressing someone through a seeming social etiquette. Where does Battered Wife Syndrome come from? A husband who continuously insists that his verbal, mental, physical abuse is private? Or any family member aside from a husband who imposes such abuse? I know someone who works for the FBI and she is interested in a study that tries to understand the experience of such [women] who struggle with a career because it is not professional to share their experience. Where can they turn? I think I have proved by attaining my PhD that no one can stop this determined woman. No one can interfere with my professional plans and goals. I also want to convey that I do have a personal need to get out of here through independent, financial means... and love would not hurt. I imagine the most savvy hiring/recruit managers would see my transparency and determination as an asset that differentiates me from others. When I conducted my interviews with the police academy, a few explained that leaders were chosen, initially, based on overcoming hardships. If I can get troops of law enforcement to back up my ease with transparency... that is all I need. I will find the right employer and/or client.
