Talked to seventeen people in the last two hours about the proposed Hiawatha bus route. Five were against the idea, citing the fact that it would cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I pointed out that the City of Sault Ste. Marie currently has a ten million dollar surplus. Only two out of the seventeen are still opposed to the proposed route. On a lighter note, all of the people I talked to this evening praised the new Sault Transit Reform app that Im working on. Knowing when the bus will pass by your stop and getting live updates about delays, it sure made people happy to know that someone was working on a mobile app!
