Talked with my (pending) book publisher who surprised me a little bit with his parameters. He only wants 35,000 words (thats only around 100-120 pages!) and up to 70 photographs; Basically this means theyre doing one of those little books you find in the tourist and gift shops. If you have ANY stories, anecdotes, factoids or PHOTOGRAPHS (that belong to you and youre willing to give me permission to use), please consider sending to me ASAP. Unfortunately 35k words means more will be left out than left in and were pretty much gonna be hitting highlights. Remember, the emphasis is on NORTH FLORIDA! As much as Id like to include South Florida, thats for another book. I consider North Florida to include the panhandle, NE Florida down to Gainesville and maybe Orlando, if its a good story. Once this thing is published, thats it. I would hate that your little piece of info or that story only you know would not get in. Think about it and for the sake of this short history, gimme a call.
