Talking about Intellectual Property, This is one such script that received the lowest response from the Indian Box Office, not because of talking what is right? but because of the core & alternate way of putting things upfront. The intellectual Property belonging to the penultimate film maker Ashutosh Gowarikar was able to convince and justify the social message he needed the world be aware of. He was able to bring in the best music director of our decade to score this brilliant number ( not only this ). In every critical conversation about movies with my friends, we never felt like talking about these scripts ( Swades , Aaranya Kaandam, Crash etc )as we all know it was brilliantly made to the point all squares. So this is called an intellectual property executed the most sensible way as the writers / directors were pretty sure about what they wanted to show people and they were right. Please keep in mind we also feel great about Taxi Driver, V for Vendetta, Indian, Peepli Live etc., Amidst All these issues, the recent AR Murugadosss Film Kaththi was made inappropriately taking sensible national issue in the most ridiculous way. The views may vary from person to person, however the movie didnt make me feel for the interpreted social message after all those mass elements built for Vijay and not so important Samantha. I honestly feel, if Murugadoss wouldve penned the script by himself he wouldnt have allowed anyone to compromise on the taken subject. An intellectual property is like ones baby and as a parent you have the responsibility to make it raise above the bars especially when you really mean to make a difference. Considering Ramana, I strongly feel ARM, did justify his I.P because there were hardly any compromises. Kaththi, talks about communism and nowhere near that- Hard to digest. Tried to post Selfie Pulla video - felt it was totally innappropriate.
