Talking earlier out here in the real world about TV with my flatmate, Charlie, and the subject drifted to a series I was addicted to: Banacek, with George Peppard and Murray Matheson. Wonderful, puzzle-solving mysteries, with George as an urbane, witty, Cool Dude of an investigator, who sorts out problems no one else can and gets the reward from the insurors. This is prime material for a film, if a clever scripter like, say Mark Protosevich, should come up with a really good story... and George Clooney would take the lead... theres a huge amount of potential here.
