Talking with one of the wonderful TNR people this morning made me - TopicsExpress

Talking with one of the wonderful TNR people this morning made me want to share this story. There are a LOT of people that drop their cats off in parks or near creeks, thinking the cats will be fine. Plenty of bushes to hide in, mice & birds to eat, everything needed to survive. GRRRRRRRRRR, if they only knew!! Cats are prey animals, their pet now has to survive predators, cars and starvation. The story today was about a mama cat that has had her babies in a huge junk pile. She has managed to escape being caught, hidden her babes in the junk pile and then was hit by a car. Sadly, she is still alive and dragging her back legs. The NCA peeps cannot get her out of the junk pile and cannot locate the babies. Most likely they will all starve to death........ So when people think that they are cats and can survive I want to scream! There is NO excuse to dump an animal and there are plenty of programs to spay/neuter. If you can make a donation to the Neighborhood Cat Advocates, please do. They are all volunteers spending many hours trying to help the feral cats those that have been thrown away...... neighborhoodcatadvocates.org/
