Talon Guess, had his 13 birthday today, but what he wanted for his birthday was to take some of his buddies hunting and fishing. We only let him take 2 though he wanted to take many more. The boys only caught 3 fish before dark the first night out. Later that night we called some hogs all the way across a big field and a pond. Gabe was able to shoot his first big hog. He made a good shot but we still lost the hog in high grass. We recovered her the next morning. The next day we moved cattle from one pasture to the next for the rancher, the boys played with the airsoft guns and played pool a while. Then as a storm was blowing in we headed for the lake again to fish the bank where the bait fish were being blown. Sure enough the fish were there! In about 2 1/2 hours we caught 37 nice channel cat and a soft shell turtle. We had fried fish and turtle for supper that night. The boys had a great time and feasted like kings
