Tanker Jetty - Aug 16, 2014. Hamish, Dion, Justin and I met at the jetty car park around 8am this morning in fantastic winter conditions. We trudged down the jetty to blue skies, low wind and calm seas and were rapt to be able to clearly see the bottom along the way. All four of us survived the 3 metre leap of faith and after adjusting gear, dropped down in 6 metres of water. As usual, the best part of the trail was towards the island end, where big schools of old wifes and scissor tails hang around the fallen timber. A quick look around the island pylons and the accompanying schools of fish and we were on our way back. We climbed up the ladder about 45 minutes after plunging into the water and reaching a maximum depth of 11.5 metres. Nice to share one of my favourite dive sites with three guys who seemed to enjoy it as much as I do. Steve
