Tanvir distributes financial assistance for marriage to widows, orphans, poor and disabled Omar’s philanthropy will bring smiles to many poor families- Tanvir SRINAGAR, JULY 24: On the instruction of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his political secretary Tanvir Sadiq today ahead of Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr, and Eid-ul-Fitr distributed financial assistance in lac’s to hundreds of people including, girls for their wedding and people with extreme poor condition including orphans, windows and disabled. In a function organized at the CM’s private office to distribute assistance to the poor and downtrodden, Tanvir said that on Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr and what is almost the eve of Eid al Fitr, Omar Sahib’s philanthropy will bring joy, cheer and smiles to scores of families. This will be a relief to the poor and the downtrodden. Tanvir said Omar Sahib has unfailingly and unflinchingly used the funds available to him to bring succour and relief to those amongst us who are less fortunate especially in the month of Ramadhan. He added “This Ramadhan and Eid are no different. Omar Sahib continues to live up to the high ideals and ideas that come as legacy to him and stem from the nature of his personality”. Chief Minister has all along helped the poor and needy and this time also many poor people will benefit from this Tanvir said. Citing some examples among the hundreds of beneficiaries who were provided financial assistance today, Tanvir said that cases of orphans and extremely poor were considered for wedding assistance, we considered a case of a young girl who had received 75% of burns on her body. Cases of a widow whose three young childrens who have been born abnormal and also cases which were of extremely poor nature were given preference including many widows and orphans. Tanvir said that beneficiaries were from all across the valley.
