Tanya is right we do have the Wasaga Beach Blues Festival going on. wasagabeachblues/ I was part of the 2014 Bluesfest meeting this week and the bluesfest promises to be even better this year. We are getting much more reach and intend to build local reach with a few surprises (things yet to be finalized) that are being planned for the September 11 to 14, 2014 event. How about we do Labour Day weekend promo event for the bluesfest by running outdoor movies on our outdoor inflatable screen and run movies like Lady Sing the Blues (1972) Dianna Ross stars as Billie Holiday, Mo’ Better Blues (1990) , Spike Lee; Blues Brothers 2000 (1998), Dan Aykroyd , Blues Brothers (1980), Belushi and Aykroyd . We can even run a look alike contest Also, Beach Booster have been trying so hard to develop their summer events. If we could get support behind them we could really get these events on track as premier annual attractions. Why re-invent the wheel on this one. Beach Booster is local, committed to Wasaga Beach and has developed a good list of connections that will stay here and not leave with an outside promoter.
