Tanzania: Simba, Yanga Not Going to Darfur TANZANIA will not send any team to participate in the East and Central Africa Club Championship, Kagame Cup, set to kick off later this month in the Darfur province of Sudan due to security concerns. The Deputy Minister for Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, Amos Makala, told the National Assembly here that the government had reliable information that there were serious security concerns in Darfur and for that reasons it would not send its teams to participate in the annual tournament. "The government position is clear, we cannot send our teams where there is no security," the Deputy Minister said in his reply to a supplementary question from Richard Ndassa (Sumve - CCM), who wanted to know government position on whether Tanzania will send its teams to Darfur for the tournament.
