Taraba Ag. Gov appoints 24 SAs From CHARLES AGELLAH, Jalingo AS part of the on- going efforts to strengthen the machinery of government in Taraba State, the Ag. Governor, Alhaji Garba Umar has approved the appointment of 24 Special Advisers. The appointment of the Special Advisers, which was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Garvey A. Yawe, said they were expected to resume work at their various offices immediately. Out of the 24 Advisers, seven were re-appointed to continue in their previous positions while 17 were newly appointed though only a few of them have previously held various positions in the defunct administration as well as the current administration. Those appointed as S.A’s were Hon Abba Akawu (S.A Inter-Governmental Affairs); Hon. Oliver Suleiman (Labour Matters); Alhaji Ahmed Bala Gassol (Muslim Religious Affairs); Senator Ibrahim Goje (S.A Political); Engr. Yahaya Mafindi (Information & Communication Tech) and Mrs Ankye Y. Abada (S.A on Women Affairs). Also appointed were Alhaji Musa Karamti (S.A Inter-Party Affairs); Hon Jerry Dogon Yaro (S.A Solid Minerals); Hon Irimiya Hammanjulde (S.A Health Systems); Hon Buba Madugu (S.A Commerce & Industry); Hon Bashir Marafa (S.A Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); and Maryam Hamanjulde Zubairu (S.A Students and Physically Challenged). Others were Hon Barr. Sam Adda (S.A Legislative Liaison); Mr. Orbee Uchiv (S.A Government Projects and Monitoring); Muntari Garba (S.A Science, Technical and Higher Education); Emmanuel Masa’Ibbi Nwunuke (S.A Urban Infrastructure); Air Commodore Atiku Umar (S.A Security) and Rev. Eunice Musa (S.A Christian Religious Matters. The appointees also included Aminu Kotolo (S.A Revenue Matters); Dr. Yushau Ahmed (S.A Border Community Development Agency); Hon Atem Ansho (S.A Tourism); Yakubu Voka (S.A SEMA) and Joseph Snwore (S.A Rural Infrastructure as well as David Irande (S.A Primary Education. According to the release, all former Special Advisers who are in possession of Government properties were directed to hand over such properties accordingly and with immediate effect.
