Taraba: Why Acting Gov Can’t See Suntai – Sen Bwacha By Jonathan Nda-Isaiah — Oct 17, 2014 | 3 Comments Senator Emanuel Bwalcha has revealed that the ailing governor of Taraba State, Mr Danbaba Suntai, is being shielded from his deputy, Alhaji Garba Umar, because of the deep-rooted suspicion that the latter wanted to remove his principal and take over as govrnor. Senator Bwacha, who made this disclosure to Senate correspondents yesterday, said the suspicion arose following ceaseless unpleasant actions of the acting governor towards his principal since his involvement in a plane crash. According to him, the acting governor’s actions and body language were pointers that he was not favourably disposed to seeing the governor back to office, hence the decision of those concerned about the governor’s health to keep him away from his deputy, whose desperation to hold on to power was causing tension in the state He said: “If we have empirical evidence that you are working towards sacking your principal, and from all available facts, you want him sacked and you are not able to achieve that, now suspicion will begin to emerge that other extra-ordinary means could be used, and that is why, for security reasons, nobody would even allow you to see him. - Leadership newspaper
