Target serves in ETC Depok Being able to communicate in English as an international language is needed in this globalization era. Many national or international schools facilitate their students with sufficient English. But what about other unfortunate children from poor families to compete and thus have a better future? Seeing this need, HOPE worldwide Indonesia makes a program to teach them English basics through English Training Centers in some locations in Jakarta. Some volunteers are moved to help the ETC. One example is volunteers from a company called TARGET who came on June 19, 2013, to English Training Center in Depok. They want to help by teaching the children at English Training Center Depok. The learning process are divided into 4 groups : • Group One is for 28 Primary students grade 1-2, who learn about colours and name of animals. • Group Two is for 23 Primary students grade 3, who learn about name of days and sports. • Group Three is for 30 Primary students grade 4-6, who learn about nature. • Group Four is for 6 students of Junior high school grade 7-9, who learn about present continuous tense. Each group learned with great eagerness, and at the end of the session they received small gifts: reading books and snack from TARGET. Hopefully, this attention and care from volunteers will help the children keep their learning spirit. Thank you, TARGET… =)
