Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara Tarte Gifted Mascara This year I have promised myself that I will broaden my horizons when it comes to makeup brands, I will be braver and I will try more new things. The first newbie to find its place in my makeup bag is the Tarte Gifted mascara. Ive never tried anything from Tarte before, but I have read lots of wonderful things, so I was quite excited to give this a go. The formula of the mascara is created to target individual lashes, lengthen, condition and revitalise. When applied it is quite wet but it dries pretty quickly, and applies really nicely to all the lashes. The brush itself is quite thin and short, but dense, so it manages to grab even the little lashes along the water line with ease, and the product is distributed evenly. The first time I used this, with one coat I was a little disappointed... there was length and definition but no volume, and I have come to expect all three from my mascaras. However, with a second coat the volume arrives, so take note, two coats are required and it is buildable if you like a bit of a dramatic eye. Ive been wearing this daily for work, and Ive had no issues with smudging or flaking, and on a night, this is easily removed with my eye makeup remover. I couldnt review this without mentioning the amazing and unique packaging. The tube is made of bamboo and decorated with tribal patterns around the lid - its a real eye catcher, and it feels so nice to hold (Ive always been one for ergonomics!) Have you tried anything from Tarte before? Im a bit late to the party, but definitely want to try more from the range!
