Showers contracting eastwards during the afternoon and clearing in the evening. Cool with moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong about the far northeast, decreasing in the evening. Weather Situation A trough and associated cold front are crossing the state Tuesday evening. A low is expected to develop near Flinders Island early Wednesday, then track slowly southeastwards during the day as a weak high pressure ridge approaches western Tasmania. The low will continue to slowly track southeastwards Thursday while a high over Victoria maintains a weak ridge over Tasmania. The ridge will then slowly move away to the east on Friday, allowing a warmer northerly stream to develop over the state as a cold front crosses the Bight.
