Tasmanian Disability Education Reform Lobby MEDIA RELEASE: 26 July 2013 Launceston Rally Speakers The Tasmanian Disability Education Reform Lobby will be holding a rally to show their support for students living with disability in Tasmanian schools this Saturday at 11:00am in City Park Launceston. Confirmed Speakers at the rally include: Terry Polglase– President AEU Tasmanian Branch Rachel Graham-Hilder – Parent Jen Eddington - President. T.S.S.P&F and V.P. Tas ACSSO Michael Ferguson – Tasmanian Shadow Minister for Education Kristen Desmond – Founder - Tasmanian Disability Education Reform Lobby Tasmanian members of the State and Federal parliaments have been invited to mix with families and hear their concerns firsthand. The Tasmanian Disability Education Reform Lobby is disappointed that the Minister for Education has yet to confirm if he or any other member of the Government is prepared to address the rally. Kristen Desmond founder of the Tasmanian Disability Education Reform Lobby said: “This rally has been organised so parents of students living with disability and the Tasmanian Community can send a strong message to the Government that parents will not stand back and accept the current education disability support system.
