Tax Accountant: Details: Tax Accountant Pay: DOE Local CPA firm is looking for a knowledgeable Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for the collection of tax-related information, reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, county and local levels in a timely manner, and advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies. Some of the key responsibilities of the Tax Accountant include: • Devise tax strategies to defer or eliminate tax payments • Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner • Prepare and update tax provision schedules • Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities • Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings • Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues • Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities • Identify tax savings in prospective acquisition scenarios Candidates must have: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (150 credits preferred) and at least 2 years of experience with a CPA firm. • This position requires advanced communication, computer, writing and organization skills.
