Taxes are invasion of private rights and must be fair. Biblically, taxes should not exceed 10%. If they do, they are inherently unfair. It is time we opted for Chistian approaches to solving poverty. Christian concepts are not the erroneous prosperity theology canvassed today where wealth seems to fall as a blessing or manna from heaven. There is a dominant Christian paradigm that rates the poor as 10% of the population and the assumption is that 90% must be able to uplift the 10%. Christian theories are far more advanced than those taught at Yale, Cambridge, Oxford or Harvard.
